Many new puppy parents often ask, "What should I feed my new puppy?"
When our dog “Paris” passed away from Dilated Cardio Myopathy (DCM), in 2014, due to the grain free food we were feeding. We started doing research, lots of research. What we found in our research was astonishing. We believed we were feeding her a good food. But really, we were doing more harm than good. Later we found out that the food we were feeding was very high on the list for DCM. Needless to say, we felt terrible for our beloved girl.
We are constantly trying to learn more about the products we feed our dogs. We look for top quality ingredients, high standards and the freshest possible food. What we found is Life’s Abundance, it was started in 1999 and has never had a single recall. The food is triple safety checked to make sure it measures up to the standards set by Life’s Abundances.
To this day Life’s Abundance remains a small, private company that still uses a hands-on approach. It was (initially) formulated by holistic veterinarian, Jane Bicks. Our food is now formulated by leading industry professionals to make sure that all of the ingredients are not only of great quality, but also beat the quality of many other 'top' dog, cat and people food and health products. The food is proudly made in the Ohio and New York and uses the freshest highest quality ingredients available.
Dr. Jane Bicks, the initial formulator or Life’s Abundance foods, championed the thought process behind all of the nutritious pet foods, treats, supplements and care products. She has won many awards for her back ground in pet food nutrition. Dr. Jane has also created a non profit foundation where a percentage of the sales are contributed toward rescue and care for pets.
We believe in the products that Life’s Abundance makes and have seen the difference in our dogs. Life’s Abundance food does not contain wheat or corn gluten which are associated with many pet food allergies. The batches of Life’s Abundance dry foods are produced in limited runs on a weekly basis, minimizing periods of storage and helping them to deliver the freshest possible product to your front door generally within four to six weeks of being made. Many dog and cat foods sit on shelves in warehouses for months, even years at a time before being sent to pet stores, where it will sit even longer until it is bought.
We love that it is delivered fresh to your door! No more worrying about having to go out and buy food, or even run out! With their convenient auto ship program, you can have your dog food delivered a couple of days before you run out! It is by far, one of the best, if not THE best dog food brand out there currently and we are so happy to have found it so that we can improve what our dogs and their puppies eat!
